Thorsten Butz is a long-standing Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), consultant, book author and podcaster. He started his career in the late 1990s as a networking specialist and Unix enthusiast at Deutsches Provider Network. Since Windows 2000 he has closely followed Microsoft’s server technologies. His strong passion for scripting led him early on to a current focus of his work: PowerShell.
He has worked as a freelance trainer and consultant since 2004. Thorsten Butz hosts the podcast Sliding Windows and is the author of O’Reilly’s PowerShell – kurz & gut series.
